Eng. Sherif Hamouda، Chairman of GV for Urban Development co.، revealed to "Osoul Misr" the most prominent contracts and partnerships being concluded during the current year with the aim of accelerating the implementation of the Tarbol city project، and promoting it as a true example of the major and promising investment opportunities in Egypt.

GV for Urban Development co.، is participating in the "Tarboul" city project in the MIPIM 2023 conference، in order to shed light on the industrial revolution in Egypt.

The 1st smart، sustainable and logistical industrial city

"Tarboul"، the first smart، sustainable and logistical industrial city in the Middle East and Africa، is located in Giza Governorate on an area of 109 million square meters، equivalent to 26 thousand acres، in a strategic location، away by 5 km from the Nile River، 44 km from Helwan، and about 77 km from the 6th of October City، as well as 83 km from the New Administrative Capital، and it is separated by about 109 km from the port of “Al-Sokhna”، and 160 km from the Red Sea. 
"Tarbol" achieves sustainability، starting from the selection of the privileged location close to all the main points، so as to achieve a distinctive logistical integration.

Strategic contracts

Eng. Sherif Hamouda stated that GV for Urban Development Co.، is preparing to conclude a contract with one of the largest international consulting office to cooperate and provide expertise for the Tarbol city project.
He indicated that the details of the contract will be announced within days، as the strategic cooperation comes within the framework of the company's keenness to seek help from international expertise in Tarbol city's development and implementation، which is one of the most important projects that demonstrates the industrial revolution in Egypt.

Strategic contracting soon with the largest international consulting office

He affirmed that the consulting office، which will join the city of Tarboul، is one of the largest offices in the world as it has great knowledge of implementing smart industrial cities.

Strategic partnership 

Cooperating with one of the major technological companies specialized in smart cities to become the technological partner of  Tarboul

"GV" aims to sign a strategic partnership contract with one of the major companies specialized in the field of technology and smart cities، as the company's strategic technological partner in the implementation of the Tarboul city project.

Agreements with Schneider Electric and TAQA Arabia to provide some technical solutions and  clean energy

"GV" also signed agreements with major entities for the city of Tarboul، including an agreement with "Schneider Electric"، which specializes in energy management and digital transformation، to provide some technical solutions، such as Ecostruxure & Aveva، in addition to an agreement with "TAQA Arabia" to provide clean and renewable energy.

Cooperation protocol with the Export Development Bank of Egypt to provide concessional financing systems for investors

Concerning the provision of financing mechanisms، "GV" signed a cooperation protocol with the Export Development Bank of Egypt to provide systems of concessional  financing for investors in Tarboul to ensure the quick start and implementation of their various projects.

The company to accelerate the development of  Tarboul

This comes within the framework of the company's goals to accelerate the development of "Tarbol" by providing financing and credit facilities and soft  procedures for issuing licenses to industrial investors، in order to speed up the start of industrial production، in accordance with the presidential initiative to develop Egyptian industry "Ibda" to support national industries in order to depend on local products and reduce imports. 

The “Export Development Bank of Egypt” provides the necessary financing to industrial investors who meet the conditions of the Central Bank’s initiative to support small projects، with financing limits of up to 100% of the unit value and financing machinery and raw materials، with grace periods for one year، and various payment periods that extend up to 10 years، in addition the bank shall bear the expenses of issuing the necessary insurance policies.

Memorandum of Understanding with GIG Insurance Egypt to provide all insurance coverage for "Tarboul" projects

"GV" also signed a memorandum of understanding with GIG Insurance Egypt which undertakes all insurance coverages related to Tarbol city projects.

Various sustainable advantages

"Tarbol" provides 675 thousand direct job opportunities in the factories to be established only in the city and no less than 3 million indirect job opportunities، so as to achieve an important and sustainable community.

The city of "Tarboul" was equipped with the latest infrastructure compatible with the requirements of the 4th generation cities، to be an industrial complex with a new concept of sustainability and comprehensive development that includes complexes، commercial centers and residential complexes، as well as social and recreational services. 
It includes 12 industrial zones، a commercial، a residential، and hote zonesl، with a total of 15 thousand industrial establishments، with areas ranging from 500 to 40 thousand square metres. 

It also includes industrial zones with various activities، including building and construction city، marble، recycling، food valley، medical city، and logistical warehouses، which are planned to be implemented during 6 phases within 10 years.

Outside promotion

GV for Urban Development co.، is participating in MIPIM 2023، to serve as the Egyptian ambassador promoting the development initiative and the major industrial revolution taking place in the state and  has launched an advertising campaign in all local and international forums، with its slogan "Invest in Egypt... Invest in Tarbol" to promote the project during MIPIM 2023.

World Government Summit 2023 in Dubai led to fruitful discussions

Eng. Sherif Hamouda also participated in the activities of the World Government Summit 2023 in Dubai last February، with a group of government leaders، ministers، senior officials، decision makers، opinion pioneers and specialists in financial، economic and social affairs from various countries of the world، within the framework of Egypt’s participation as a guest of honor represented by a high-level delegation، led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi، and under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid، Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE، and Ruler of Dubai.
Fruitful discussions about investment opportunities
Eng. Sherif Hamouda said that the conference witnessed fruitful discussions about investment opportunities in Egypt، which were presented by the ministers and the Sovereign Fund of Egypt.

He indicated that he attended meetings with the Abu Dhabi Fund and contated with major investors and consultants as well as funds، and presented the Tarbol project، which is one of the investment opportunities in Egypt.

He stressed the role of these international events in contacting with major investors and funds from all over the world، so as to make the promotion of projects and joint cooperation available at all levels with experiences exchanging.
