As a part of its pioneering vision to support the arts, music, and the revival of Egypt’s cultural and artistic heritage, Hyde Park Developments is sponsoring a unique musical evening titled “Sound & Image”, set to take place on 29 May 2025. This exceptional event celebrates the timeless legacy of the Arab world’s iconic star, Umm Kulthum, in a night that brings a treasured chapter of Egypt’s musical history to life in the heart of Cairo. 

Hyde Park reflects its commitment to enriching the cultural landscape through sponsoring such events of unique experiences that resonate with the Egyptian audience and classical music lovers alike. By blending heritage and art, the event offers a contemporary expression of cultural identity.

Featuring renowned singer Marwa Nagy, a selection of Umm Kulthum’s most memorable songs will be performed throughout the concert. The event will take place at the fully restored Qasr El Nile with a venue featuring Art Deco-inspired design that revives the charm of a golden era, offering guests a fully immersive cultural experience. The night will also include a rare interactive exhibition of Umm Kulthum’s personal collectables, presented in a format inspired by global museum standards, bringing audiences closer to the persona that shaped a defining era of Egyptian music.

Through this sponsorship, Hyde Park Developments reaffirms its role as an active partner in promoting and preserving Egypt’s rich cultural narrative. Supporting an event hosted at the historic Qasr El Nile Theatre, recently restored to its former glory, marks a key milestone in reviving a cultural landmark that holds decades of artistic legacy.

The theatre was originally inaugurated during President Gamal Abdel Nasser’s era and has long served as a gathering for Egypt’s cultural elite. Most notably, it hosted the final performance of Umm Kulthum’s legendary career, lending the venue an enduring artistic and historical significance.

Established in 2007 under the name Damac Properties for Development S.A.E., Hyde Park Developments is jointly owned by a distinguished group of leading Egyptian investment and development entities. Its shareholders include the Housing and Development Bank (36.9%), the National Bank of Egypt (24%), the Holding Company for Investment and Development (18.2%), the New Urban Communities Authority (20.88%), and Al Tameer for Investment and Real Estate Development (0.02%).

With a capital of EGP 950 million, Hyde Park Developments owns four major projects: Hyde Park New Cairo in East Cairo, Tawny and Garden Lakes in 6th of October City, and Seashore on the North Coast. Additionally, the company established Founders for Real Estate Marketing.
