GS Group and ITIDA Sign Landmark MoU at Global Offshoring Summit to Drive Tech Talent Exports and Foreign Investment

Under the patronage and in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, and H.E Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Giza Systems Group (GS Group), a leading digital transformation enabler and systems integrator in the MEA region, announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) to significantly expand its Global Delivery Center (GDC) activities in Egypt. The three-year agreement establishes a joint framework for collaboration aimed at boosting Egypt's ICT services exports and reinforcing the country's position as a global offshoring hub. The primary focus of the MoU is to leverage GS Group’s GDC capabilities to drive international projects, directly resulting in the infusion of foreign currency into the Egyptian economy.

This strategic initiative aligns directly with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s Digital Egypt Offshoring Strategy.

As part of this strategic commitment, over the three-year agreement term, Giza Systems will significantly expand its GDC operations, reaching an additional capacity of 1,950 net Egyptian employees that will focus on export-oriented, high-value services such as Software Development, Data Analytics and Cloud Services. The MoU will facilitate collaboration on recruitment initiatives, access to candidate databases, and specialized training programs to ensure the workforce possesses the advanced skills required by global clients.

The signing ceremony was a highlight of the Global Offshoring Summit, a platform designed to underscore Egypt's stature as a cornerstone in the global offshoring business services industry. The MoU demonstrates GS Group’s concrete commitment to the national growth strategies outlined by the MCIT. Further underscoring this commitment, GS Group CEO, Ahmad Elharany, was an invited participant in the Presidential Roundtable held on the second day of the Summit, which gathered global leaders to discuss the future of Egypt’s digital economy.
