Golden Sponsor MIDAR Allocates 24 Awards Worth Approximately EGP 2 million to Honor Best Participants at 57th Cairo International Book Fair Closing Ceremony
MIDAR for Investment and Urban Development, the master developer of "Mostakbal City" and "MADA" in New Cairo, announced, in its capacity as the official Golden Sponsor of the 57th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair, the allocation of 24 awards with a total value of EGP 2 million. The awards were provided to honor the best participants, especially distinguished artistic and cultural contributions to the fair. The awards were given to the recipients during the ceremony announcing the winners of excellence at the conclusion of the Book Fair's events.

During the ceremony, Dr. Ahmed Hanno, Minister of Culture, and on behalf of Engineer Ayman ElKousey, CEO and Managing Director of MIDAR Investment and Urban Development Company, Mr. Ezzat Donia, Head of the Administrative Sector of MIDAR, presented the awards to the participants. Within the framework of MIDAR's vision to support culture and knowledge, reaffirming its role as a model for private sector participation in supporting the state's major cultural events. This is in line with MIDAR’s strategic vision and its commitment to comprehensive development, which combines the creation of integrated cities with the cultural and intellectual growth of individuals.
The Excellence Awards were distributed across several categories, including four awards for the best pavilions and publishing houses participating in the fair, five awards for the most distinguished contributions by civil society organizations across the governorates, in addition to 15 awards for the best performances and artistic tropes within the fair’s program. The winners were selected based on a specific set of criteria by a judging panel supervised by the Ministry of Culture, comprising five of Egypt’s most prominent cultural and intellectual figures, headed by Dr. Ahmed Megahed, Executive Director of the Cairo International Book Fair.

Eng. Ayman ElKousey, CEO and Managing Director of MIDAR Investment and Urban Development Company, stated that the company’s support for the Cairo International Book Fair stems from its belief that urban development is inseparable from cultural development, as well as from its vision of developing integrated urban communities, as MIDAR considers the fields of culture and knowledge to be an essential component of the quality of life.
ElKousey expressed his appreciation for the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Culture to honor the best contributions at the fair, which represents the largest public cultural event in Egypt. This is especially important after the fair saw an attendance record of more than 6 million visitors since opening its doors to the public until its conclusion. He stressed that MIDAR is keen on everything that contributes to supporting the state's plans to nurture and encourage creativity, as well as cultural and artistic talents in Egypt.
