Wayz for Transportation Company, one of the subsidiaries of MIDAR for Investment and Urban Development, has obtained ISO 39001 certification for Road Traffic Safety Management Systems from Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS, one of the world’s leading certification and inspection bodies. This achievement positions Wayz as the first Egyptian company in the transport and mobility sector to receive this international accreditation.

This milestone serves as an international accreditation for Wayz’s advanced systems in road traffic safety management, reaffirming the company’s commitment to implementing the highest international standards in the management and operation of transport services. It also enhances road traffic safety levels and strengthens its position as a leading smart mobility company in the Egyptian market.

The company’s attainment of this certification also reflects MIDAR’s commitment to developing an integrated services system within its cities, not limited to urban development alone, but extending to the management and operation of essential services according to best international practices and standards, contributing to enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of the transport system

Eng. Ayman ElKousey, CEO and Managing Director of MIDAR for Investment and Urban Development, stated that Wayz’s obtaining the ISO 39001 certification represents a significant achievement reflecting the company’s commitment to applying the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency, as part of MIDAR’s vision to provide integrated services according to global standards, not limited to urban development alone, but extending to efficiently and sustainably managing and operating cities.

ElKousey added that MIDAR is keen on continuous investment in developing its subsidiary companies, in a way that enhances the quality of life within its cities and supports the smart cities system in Egypt. ElKousey pointed out that the company has established a number of specialized entities to serve residents of MIDAR’s cities and investors, including "CTRL", the company responsible for facility management, "CIRCUIT" for electricity distribution, in addition to the transport and mobility company "Wayz", to manage services according to the highest global standards.

It is worth noting that Wayz was established to develop and manage the transportation system within and beyond MIDAR’s cities, Mostakbal City and MADA, while connecting them to Greater Cairo through a network of main roads and key axes.

The company relies on advanced technological solutions to operate its transport services, including digital booking and electronic payment capabilities. The system also includes the operation of MCV400 buses to ensure the highest standards of comfort and luxury. The buses are equipped with advanced features such as display screens and Wi-Fi services, in addition to the latest safety and monitoring systems.
