The Ministerial Cabinet's media consultant Hany  Younes said that the Egyptian state plans to place Ras El Hikma area in the same class of cities as that of  New Alamein city.

"Work at Ras El Hikma will start in the upcoming period to establish a city capable of absorbing overpopulation, as up to 2.5mln citizens go there every year," said he.

" New Alamein City accommodates 100,000 Egyptian workers and the forthcoming projects will create job opportunities for the youth," said he while speaking via phone to  the TV Show " Al Tasea" aired on the Egyptian Satellite channel.

New Alamein city will be turned into a heritage city and  home to Opera House, a library, a mosque and a churche, along with residential units, he elaborated, adding that New Alamein City is designed to become one of the world's most luxurious cities.

In the same vein, the state seeks to turn the North Coast into a year -round vacation destination, said he. " We aspire to  create cities throbbing with life throughout the  entire year in North Coast,  in a   fashion similar to  New Alamein city."

A clear-cut mandate by President Abd El Fattah El Sisis stressed the need to make New Alamein City corniche available for all  Egyptians for free,  he maintained, noting that the Egyptian state has set up year-round economic facilities inside New Alamein city, such as the Arab Academy for  Science, Technology and Maritime  Transport.

"New Alamein city has become home to students and professors, with universities and various economic activities coming into existence."

New Alamein city will encompass an industrial complex and will hence accommodate workers, technicians and engineers among others, he explained, explaining that the city comprises towers with up to 42 floors.

The city provides social housing for all income-based segments of households, ranging from low-income earners to upper middle-income earners, he asserted.
