Bernard Arnault، chairman and chief executive of Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy، the French luxury conglomerate LVMH، is crowned this week the world's richest person with $198 billion for the first time in three years، dethroning Tesla electric car company CEO Elon Musk whi is now the third richest person with $190 billion after Tesla shares tumbled 6 % compared to last year، while Jeff Bezos، boss of Amazon، preserves the second place with $196 billion.

Bernard Arnault Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy، LMVH، CEO has been at the top spot as the world's richest person، according to American Bloomberg's Billionaire's Index today.


The trio، Bernard Arnault Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy، LMVH، CEO، and Jeff Bezos، boss of Amazon، as well as Tesla electric car company CEO Elon Musk، who also owns X formerly known as Twitter،  are the three richest people in the world and often trade the crown between them depending on the success of their respective companies' shares.

MailOnline site reported that Bernard Arnault، Chairman and CEO of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton، is now the richest person in the world، as he  serves as the boss of the French luxury conglomerate LVMH which owns well-known brands including Louis Vuitton، Tiffany & Co، and Dom Pérignon.


But that is not where Bernard Arnault، Chairman and CEO of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton money comes from as the majority of his fortune is driven by his 97.5 % stake in Christian Dior.

Most of Jeff Bezos's fortune comes from his 9 % stake in Amazon، where he is the biggest shareholder، despite selling 50 million shares worth around $8.5 billion in February this year but Bezos first stepped ahead of Microsoft Inc. co-founder Bill Gates as the world's richest person in 2017.

Larry Page is an American businessman، computer scientist and internet entrepreneur best known for co-founding Google with Sergey Brin are at the ninth and tenth places with  fortunes of $121 billion for Larry and $115 billion for Sergey with a total of $236 billion.
