Trump thanked Iran for that heads up, but nevertheless called the retaliatory strike a “very weak response” that was “very effectively countered” by the U.S.

“Most importantly, they’ve gotten it all out of their “system,” and there will, hopefully, be no further HATE,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

He spoke about a missile attack on an American military base in Qatar, “which made it possible for no lives to be lost, and nobody to be injured.”

A missile strike by Iranian forces on a U.S. military base in Qatar does not appear to have caused any casualties, Qatar’s defense ministry says.

The finding helped inform the U.S. Embassy in Doha’s decision to lift a shelter-in-place order issued ahead of the attack.

The strike on the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar was in retaliation for U.S. bombings against key Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend.

Iran’s armed forces boasted via state media earlier today that a “powerful and destructive missile strike” had hit the base, which houses around 10,000 troops.

The open conflict in the Middle East had already dramatically escalated two days earlier, when the U.S. joined Israel’s military campaign to cripple Iran’s nuclear programs and hobble its regime.
