President El-Sisi Directs Strengthening Reliance on Modern Technology and Smart Water Management

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister; Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation; Dr. Hani Sweilem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation; Major General Magdy Anwar, Director of the Armed Forces National Service Projects Authority; Major General Khaled Ahmed Abdullah, Head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority; and Major General Walid Mohamed Aref, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority. 

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, Spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that the meeting reviewed the general water situation nationwide, water needs and availability for agricultural projects and drinking water, as well as the status of several ongoing projects, particularly those supporting water facilities. 

The meeting also addressed the follow-up to the New Delta Project and developments in the collection and transfer of agricultural drainage water to the New Delta Water Treatment Plant to provide clean and safe water for agricultural investment in the New Delta.
