Redcon Construction advances Egypt’s construction sector through technology, AI with global partners

Redcon Construction continues to drive value across Egypt’s construction and real estate development sectors by adopting advanced technologies and innovative solutions that enable faster project delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards and complying with international best practices. 

The company also places strong emphasis on developing a new generation of highly skilled engineers and workers across various disciplines, ensuring the highest levels of professionalism and technical expertise.

Eng. Tarek Elgamal, Chairman of Redcon Companies, revealed that the company plans to make significant investments in technology throughout 2026, focusing on upgrading and developing software solutions, as well as training and enhancing the capabilities of its employees.

He explained that the company is pursuing several tracks to advance its technological capabilities, which are updated annually in collaboration with its strategic partners, including Autodesk and Right Angle.

For his part, Mr. Amal Abdel Wahab, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Redcon Construction, said that the company was the first in Egypt to adopt Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology in 2008, which has now become a mandatory system in construction activities in countries around the world. 

BIM is an engineering digital transformation mechanism that relies on producing all drawings and designs digitally, while integrating information from the early design stages through to project delivery.

He added that the system’s dimensional capabilities have evolved from 3D to 5D and, more recently, to 10D.

Abdel Wahab explained that the system has helped save time and effort, reduce reliance on paper documents, and enable clients and consultants to view a model that serves as a simulation of the building to be constructed, including its detailed specifications.

Eng. Noha Nael, Chief Business Officer at Redcon Construction, said that the company has recently introduced advanced technological solutions that enable owners to visualize the management, operation, and maintenance of a building after handover, contributing to improved management quality as well.

Nael explained that the company is keen to transfer this culture and these technologies to developers and contracting entities, contributing to enhancing quality across the Egyptian market.

She noted that Redcon Construction recently applied these advanced technologies to one of the Ministry of Health’s projects, which strongly embraced the implementation of these mechanisms given their positive impact on the quality of the building.

Meanwhile, Eng. Ayman Abdel Shafy, CEO of Resource Management at Redcon Construction, disclosed that the company has adopted AI-driven technologies to manage its operations. 

Abdel Shafy said that Redcon has developed a proprietary software program that connects all business processes, starting from the procurement of supplies and extending across various departments and functions, within an integrated system built on accurate and reliable data. This contributes to saving time and enhancing the accuracy of reports.

He pointed out that the company is gradually rolling out this advanced AI model across all departments and among its employees, with the aim of establishing it as a unified and fundamental operating model across the company. In this regard, Redcon is collaborating with Microsoft and other leading companies specializing in Agentic AI.

Redcon Construction is also committed to maximizing the benefits of artificial intelligence and making it an integral part of the company’s institutional strategy, he said.

Abdel Shafy concluded that Redcon Construction has adopted new technologies to enhance the efficiency of its workforce. Training is no longer based on traditional courses and lengthy sessions; instead, employees now undergo short, focused online training programs, helping save time while ensuring maximum learning outcomes.

As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, Redcon Construction has also launched an annual program that selects high-performing graduates and provides them with two and a half years of training across the company’s various sectors. Upon completion of the program, each trainee is given the opportunity to choose the sector that best suits their skills and interests.

The program aims to develop highly professional talent equipped with distinctive capabilities and a forward-looking vision.

Redcon Construction has provided healthcare services as part of its community initiatives. In cooperation with Raie Misr Development Foundation, the company organized medical caravans to provide free medical checkups for workers. A total of 3,000 workers across 10 projects received medical examinations, in addition to free medications and eyeglasses.

Additionally, Redcon Construction is currently exploring opportunities to contribute to the development and renovation of schools, particularly in villages and rural communities.

Driven by its commitment to supporting the education of future generations, Redcon also sponsored students from the Faculties of Engineering at Ain Shams University and Helwan University participating in the International Small Wind Turbine Contest (ISTWC), held in the Netherlands. The ASUWind team from the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University secured third place worldwide in the competition.
